Christmas Tree Capital

It doesn’t matter whether you live in a warm or cold climate, flocking your Christmas tree can help you achieve your dreams of a white Christmas.

Flocking is achieved by applying a powder or dust that creates the appearance of freshly fallen snow.

When you flock yourself, you will find it to be more economical than purchasing flocking.

It takes more time and effort to make flocked Christmas trees yourself, but the results will be exactly to your taste.

And yeah, it’s okay to flock both artificial and real Christmas trees!

Step-by-Step Guide to Flocking Your Christmas Tree

Follow the steps below and you’ll learn just how to make flocked Christmas trees:

Step 1:  Mist the Tree

Lightly mist each section of the tree with the spray bottle. Spritzing a large area with water won’t be necessary since it will dry before you flock.

Step 2: Sift severally

Gradually lift the strainer (with the ‘snow’ inside) above the dabbled section and begin sifting.  Make it seem like real snow is falling (could be fun too).

Water sprayed on the snow will make it fluffy and help it adhere to your tree.

Step 3: Check Snowfall

Be sure to touch every branch of your tree when you flock. You can as well spray while sifting.

Want to see more branches covered with snow? Increase the flock’s size and quantity of water.

Step 4: Leave to dry

Adding too much “snow” to your tree will make it take longer to dry.

In most cases, light layers of snow that is sprayed with a can take only four hours to dry.

For sprayed-on coats that are quite thicker, you might have to sit overnight. Allow your flocked Christmas tree sit overnight before decorating, if you’re flocking yourself.

You can also decide to add lights for some extra ‘shiny’ effect.
