The Christmas tree has a lot of importance and people tend to attach different meanings to it according to the line of their beliefs. The Christmas tree is a must-have for every family that celebrates Christmas as it brings the family together. The family members come together to decorate the trees together.
To some Christians, the tree symbolizes Christ as it reminds Christians that Jesus Christ is the tree of life and to some, it symbolizes that Jesus Christ is the supreme gift of God to humanity. Christmas trees also symbolize eternal life found in Jesus Christ. Some say that the Christmas tree symbolizes paradise, some say it symbolizes Jesus Christ as the King and that it also symbolizes that all glory belongs to Jesus Christ alone.
This is because people are of different opinions and beliefs, this makes the Christmas tree have different types and forms as some Christians think that the Christmas tree should always be large and elaborate, some other Christians think that this is not the case. The trends of the Christmas tree to watch out for in 2020 are majorly two. And these two trends are:
- DECORATION CARDBOARD MADE TREES
Many families find it stressful and difficult to use the natural trees and so will improvise and make use of cardboard made Christmas trees instead as it is easier to make and can help bring families together and strengthen the bond between them as they will have to work together to make the tree.
- SHORT AND MODERATE CHRISTMAS TREES
Christmas trees will no longer be gigantic except the ones made in churches. At home, there will be no need for extravagance again so there would just be moderately sized Christmas trees with the appropriate decorations on it and Christmas light.
The motive behind this is to set up a festive mood and atmosphere without too much ado and without much stress or extravagant spending.
